Job Description

Yateley School is seeking to appoint a

Learning Coach

to join our friendly, experienced team. You will place a key role in supporting teaching staff with the education, care, and welfare of students with learning difficulties, helping them to become independent, confident, and well-supported learners.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our

Student Support team

, where no two days are the same and every day makes a difference.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential -- more important is patience, understanding, and flexibility to meet a range of needs. Additional training opportunities (e.g ELSA) are available for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who can:



Show empathy and understanding of students' needs

Work collaboratively with parents, teaching staff, and students

Keep accurate and confidential records of meetings and interactions

Organise and plan their day around individual student needs

Support learning and identify when additional interventions are required

Demonstrate good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills

Communicate effectively, with professionalism and discretion

Follow direction but also use initiative where appropriate

Help students reach their full potential
