Working as part of our central Learning & Development Team, the Learning Designer is responsible for using their creative capability to design, create and curate engaging and inspiring learning solutions and resources for AXA UK Employees. The role requires the drive to create high quality material that meets the needs of the business, working closely with all L & D colleagues, subject matter experts and other business stakeholders to design and deliver learning. This role can be done from any of our offices and you will work from home for most of your week. What you’ll be doing:
You’ll design bespoke interactive and engaging online and blended learning solutions including assessments and short animations for a variety of topics that meet design quality standards
Develop, analyse and challenge learning aims and objectives, working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design solutions that align with these.
Apply instructional design theories and best practise, keeping up to date with L&D trends and develop innovative ideas for online resources.
Drive the evaluation of all learning solutions to ensure they drive business performance and deliver return on investment.
Creating gold standard deliverables that always represent the employee’s best interests, and exceed the company expectations, whether you’re creating e-learning, digital resources or short animations.
Based on learning needs, determine appropriate technology platform, course design, and instruction delivery options based on subject matter and target audience.
Utilise variety of authoring and design software and multimedia tools to develop visuals for slide decks, HTLM web pages, print and communications. Including curating and creating video and audio resources where needed

Experience as a Learning Designer with a sound understanding of learning theories and their application in Learning Design
Instructional design experience and proven track record of creating both online and blended Learning solutions for corporate employees
Exceptional writing / storyboarding skills and outstanding attention to detail
Strong technical understanding of delivering digital learning
Strong communication skills – interacting confidently and building relationships across all areas of the organisation.
Broad experience and accomplishment in using a range of content authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adapt Builder, and other web-based authoring tools including Gomo Learning. Also, be familiar with SCORM / HTML5 publishing to LMS systems.
Design capability and experience including videography, graphic design and web design (please be aware your design skills will be assessed during the selection process)
Must have some HTML website and CMS design experience to design and deliver custom web pages on our LMS
A willingness to learn, explore and constantly bring new ideas to the table
Experience of working within a national organisation with multi-sited locations
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and adapt to changing circumstances
Energy to work as a self-starter, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-functional team
