Guyatt House Care is seeking a Registered Nurse Manager (RNLD - live pin preferred, but retired pin considered) for their small, 8-bed residential home based in Burwell. This is an exciting time for the business as we look to review and transform the residential home to include nursing services, aiming to support our residents in remaining in their homes for many years. The home is rated 'Outstanding' and offers a bustling environment with person-centered care and a robust staff team, overseen by the Chief Operating Officer and a Deputy Manager. JOB SUMMARY

? Manage and maintain registration as the CQC Registered Manager of the eight-bed

residential home.

? Serve as an integrated member of the team, providing a direct interface with the

specialist adult learning disability pathway.

? Ensure the systematic delivery of a specialist learning disability service.

? Work independently as a Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities), following

professional guidelines and overseeing the governance of community nursing

practice within the learning disability team.

? Apply research skills to conduct audits, policy reviews, and service development that

support individuals with learning disabilities in accessing primary and secondary

health services, aiming to improve health outcomes and address health inequalities

and stigma.

? Recommend and implement policy changes within the team & service area in

collaboration with Service and Professional management.

Clinical/Professional

? Hold CQC registration as the registered person for the residential homes of Guyatt

House Care

? Hold responsibility for planning and management of a reduced complex and

specialist workload, undertaking assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating individualized care packages for clients who live in the registered service

? Disseminate specialist knowledge across a range of work procedures and practices

that are underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience to

colleagues who are employed within mainstream settings.

? Raise awareness on how to recognize barriers to primary health care services for

people with learning disabilities in order to ensure that their additional health needs

are identified so that they receive comparable access to health care, and that

interventions are undertaken in a Primary and secondary health care teams across

Cambridgeshire

? Individuals with learning disabilities, their carers and families, advocates, and

community groups

? Voluntary organizations and external providers involved in engagement

? Providers of services for individuals with learning disabilities (such as supported

living, residential, and day services)

Communication



? Promote active participation of clients and their families/carers in accessing appropriate health care services

? Liaise with other health care professionals to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to care

? Establish and maintain effective communication lines with others to ensure well-organised

delivery of health services to our people.

? Work collaboratively with others in the multidisciplinary team

? Act as mentor to pre-registration student nurses and colleagues, participating in induction

programmes and giving guidance to others as is appropriate if applicable

Analytical and judgmental skills

? Undertake audit and Quality Improvement that will contribute to the advancement health care outcomes in line with service specification.

? Demonstrate sound knowledge/understanding of government legislative initiatives relating to the care of people with learning disabilities and demonstrate an ability to apply them through best practice.

Planning and organisational skills



? Promote a positive image, demonstrating a professional and flexible approach while identifying how relationships with the public could be improved through the use of a collaborative approach to care

? Demonstrate effective organisational by prioritising and managing own time to achieve targets and meet stipulated deadlines

? Contribute to the development of others by raising awareness of the impact of learning

disabilities on an individual's day to day functioning by facilitating and delivering formal and

informal education sessions and Health Facilitation/Health Action Planning workshops for primary care staff, other health professionals and groups, carers and people with learning

disabilities in a variety of settings, involving people with learning disabilities.

? Assume responsibility for updating own knowledge with mandatory and continuous

professional training.

? Assist in the risk management process by taking part in clinical audit, quality management

issues and Access reporting in line with Guyatt house Csres Risk Management Policy.

? Contribute to a healthy and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety

regulations.

? Ensure that nursing records are accurate and contemporaneous in accordance with NMC

standards

? Participate in regular supervision that will offer scope for reflective practice and facilitate

professional support.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 45,000.00 per year
