About the Role

Harmony Care Provider Ltd is seeking compassionate and reliable

Support Workers

to join our Learning Disabilities Supported Living service in Cheltenham. You will play a vital role in empowering adults with learning disabilities to live independently, thrive in their community, and achieve their personal goals.

This role is ideal for individuals with a caring nature, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people.

Key Responsibilities

Provide person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs. Support with daily living tasks including personal care, bathing, dressing, continence care, meal preparation, cleaning, and household duties. Promote independence, choice, wellbeing, and rights of service users. Assist individuals to access community facilities, appointments, and activities. Support service users with mobility needs, including safe moving and handling. Maintain accurate records in line with service and regulatory requirements. Work collaboratively with families, carers, health professionals, and colleagues. Follow Health & Safety, safeguarding, and organisational policies. Assist with medication administration as required.

Requirements

Essential:

Previous experience in care or a strong willingness to learn. Ability to provide personal and intimate care. Good communication skills and a caring, empathetic approach. Basic IT skills. Flexible and adaptable attitude. Willingness to travel to the work location (preferred).

Desirable:

NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards one). Awareness of learning disability support approaches. Experience in handling challenging behaviours. Full, clean driving licence.
