Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide care and support to an individual with learning disabilities. The ideal candidate should have experience in providing compassionate care and assistance to those in need
Duties:
- Start work in Newport for 08:30 AM (vehicle provided) to collect an individual from his home and support him to his day opportunities and take the individual back to his home for 3.30 PM
- Provide emotional support and companionship to the individual
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Implement behavior management strategies to support individuals with challenging behaviors
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs (if required)
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
Requirements:
- Experience in disability support, hospice care, or related fields
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Ability to provide compassionate and person-centered care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license for transportation
(MUST BE OVER 25 YEARS OF AGE AND HAVE HELD DRIVING LICENCE FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES)
