Ambition Community Healthcare are one of the leading complex care providers based In Norfolk and Suffolk.

We have an exciting new role based in Ipswich.

The Job Role:



The client is a young man in his Mid 30's, living at home with his father in an adapted home to suit his needs . This client has a diagnoses of Epilepsy and Autism, He has various seizure activity and as a result of these conditions he is non-verbal.

He now requires care 4 days per week as a 2-1 to enable him to go out into the community to do activities, these include swimming, drives out around the local surroundings, Walks around the local area or even visits to theme parks, some shifts may include accompanying him to appointments. Care is also provided 3 days a week overnight to enable his father to rest.

Responsibilities:



Personal care Medication management Moving and Handling Management of Epilepsy seizure activity. Social interaction Completion of daily recording paperwork Reporting safeguarding concerns
The shift lengths and types will be as follows, All Day shifts are on a 2:1 Basis working with this client

Day Shifts:

Mon- 09:00-18.00

Wed- 08:30-19:00

Fri- 09:00-18.00

Sun- 8:00 - 20:00

Once a month there will be increase in weekend hours for a respite weekend to enable His father to have some additional respite, this will mean some Saturday hours in addition to the above.

Hours per week available-

20-30 and alternate weekends.

The Ideal candidate would have experience within the care sector, more specifically the complex care sector and have knowledge around working with people with Epilepsy and Autism, however all levels of experience would be considered as we offer an extensive level of training.

A driving licence is essential to enable this young man to access the community and activities. This rewarding Role would suit someone who wants to contribute to making a difference to this young mans life encouraging with daily tasks to ensure his health and social needs are net.

There is also the opportunity to work alongside another young man in the local area, supporting him with activities.
