The Governing Board of Highfield Community Primary School seek an enthusiastic and hardworking candidate for the role of Learning Mentor to work as part of a multi-agency team to remove barriers to learning. They will be part of a team committed to providing a welcoming and nurturing school experience for all children and their families.
You'll work closely with individuals who are struggling with social, emotional or behavioural problems that affect their ability to learn and small groups of children to provide support for a number of issues, ranging from punctuality, absence and challenging behaviour.
You'll work alongside teachers and other staff, figuring out the needs of learners who require help and how to overcome barriers that are preventing them from achieving their full potential.
Essential Qualifications/Experience
Professional/academic level 3 qualification or equivalent or substantial experience in a relevant technical, specialised or operational field
Experience of working with children Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
