Support Staff - Empower, Support, Inspire Through SEMH

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide empathetic emotional and behavioural support to individuals with special needs, including children with autism.

- Assist in implementing holistic educational and SEMH-focused programs tailored to individual needs.

- Help individuals strengthen emotional resilience, social skills, and self-confidence to foster independence.

- Ensure a calming, inclusive, and psychologically safe space that promotes emotional well-being.

- Collaborate with professionals to develop personalized SEMH support plans, ensuring each individual receives targeted care.

- Monitor, document, and assess emotional development, behavioural patterns, and mental well-being to inform tailored strategies.

- Foster effective, compassionate communication with parents, caregivers, and team members to provide seamless support.

Skills & Qualities:

- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs.

- Knowledge of social-emotional learning strategies and special education practices.

- Ability to engage and empower individuals with therapeutic techniques and structured support.

- Strong communication skills, fostering trust and meaningful connections with families and professionals.

- Patience, empathy, and deep understanding of neurodiversity and emotional development.
