Support Staff - Empower, Support, Inspire Through SEMH

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide empathetic emotional and behavioural support to individuals with special needs, including children with autism.

- Assist in implementing holistic educational and SEMH-focused programs tailored to individual needs.

- Help individuals build emotional resilience, social skills, and self-confidence, fostering independence.

- Create a calming, inclusive, and psychologically safe space that promotes emotional well-being.

- Collaborate with professionals to develop personalised SEMH support plans, ensuring targeted care.

- Monitor, document, and assess emotional development, behavioural patterns, and mental well-being to inform effective strategies.

- Maintain strong, compassionate communication with parents, caregivers, and team members to provide seamless support.

Skills & Qualities:

- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs.

- Knowledge of social-emotional learning strategies and special education practices.

- Ability to engage and empower individuals through therapeutic techniques and structured support.

- Excellent communication skills, fostering trust and meaningful connections with families and professionals.

- Patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of neurodiversity and emotional development.

A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:

Special education: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Driving Licence (required)
Work Location: In person
