We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentors to support the growth and development of children in various educational settings. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional skills in behaviour management, maths, and special education. This role is pivotal in guiding young learners through their educational journey, fostering their confidence, and enhancing their academic skills.
Duties
Provide one-on-one mentoring to children, focusing on their individual learning needs.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
Assist with the development of personalised learning plans tailored to each child's strengths and challenges.
Support children in mastering foundational skills in maths and literacy.
Engage with preschool-aged children through interactive activities that promote early childhood education principles.
Teach physical education concepts that encourage physical activity and healthy habits.
Utilise applied behaviour analysis techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
Conduct regular assessments to track progress and adjust mentoring strategies as needed.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience working with children in educational or mentoring roles.
A background in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques and applied behaviour analysis.
Familiarity with teaching physical education concepts is an advantage.
Excellent proofreading skills for creating educational materials tailored to children's needs.
A passion for mentoring and supporting children's growth in a nurturing environment.
