Callerton Academy is new secondary school that opened in September 2021 as one of two new schools within Gosforth Group. ABOUT THE ROLE
You will assist in the daily running of the Learning Resource Centre under the direction of the Librarian. You will have a range of responsibilities to include providing a full service to staff and students, incorporating various administrative tasks, processing and maintenance of stock and assisting users in both selection of books and use of ICT. You will be required to demonstrate an interest in young people, empathy for their needs and have a flexible approach as you will be working across the Multi Academy Trust.
We are seeking a Learning Resource Centre and Admin Assistant to join the Support Staff team at Callerton Academy, to run the Learning Resource Centre and to undertake a variety of administrative tasks. You should have a 'good' general education and experience of school administration would be advantageous. Working in our school LRC and office is busy and exciting and you will be confident in communicating with parents and students, as well as have a sound grasp of using different IT software and be well organised.
