In this role you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service that supports both staff and students. This hybrid position combines traditional Learning Resource Centre responsibilities with first-line IT support, ensuring an excellent experience across digital and physical resources.
You will supervise the Learning Resource Centre, maintain a positive learning environment and ensure expectations are met, support students with preparing their UCAS applications and assist staff with checks prior to submission, provide reprographic services for staff and oversee the maintenance and loans of resources, including media equipment and laptops. A significant part of the role involves providing IT support, this will include processing service desk tickets, handling password resets, managing printing issues, secure file transfers and assisting with software installations and updates. You will also develop and maintain a digital support hub with guides and resources to help staff and students navigate key processes in all areas of the college.
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent IT knowledge, and the ability to work proactively to improve service levels. They should also be confident when engaging with students, able to manage expectations effectively, and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment. Experience in resource management and IT support would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

You will be working 37 hours per week, term-time plus 10 additional days per year. Salary is point 9 on the SFCA Support Staff Pay Scale 26,818 per annum. For this term-time post this equates to 24,543 per annum.
