08.30 to 16:00 Monday - Friday - 35 hours per week - Term Time only plus 2 days

20,496.50 to 20,822.80 (actual) dependent on experience

Role Overview



To support teachers and other professionals by implementing work, care and support programmes with students to enable them to continue learning and making good progress in College

To manage students in the Inclusion provision and in the classroom to enhance their engagement with learning, promote their enjoyment of College and secure appropriate outcomes

To provide one day of administrative and clerical support per week for the Inclusion team (eg inputting radiate data, timetabling support staff for students with access arrangements, alternative curriculum clerical support)

Key Responsibilities

:

Work with identified students, including those with SEND and EAL, individually and in groups to ensure learning and progress

Work alongside colleagues in the SIP (School Inclusion Provision) to support the inclusion of all students

Deliver learning activities and interventions and monitor student progress

Set challenging and demanding expectations whilst promoting self-esteem and encouraging students to act independently

Prepare, create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment

Lead a House Tutor Group

Take responsibility for the care, preparation, maintenance and use of relevant equipment

Under the guidance of the Deputy Inclusion Coordinator timetable student access arrangements for formal examinations

Support the administration of alternative curriculum courses within the SIP

Administer routine tests, invigilate exams and undertake marking of students' work when necessary

Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans and Personal Care Programmes

Occasionally act as a Cover Supervisor for mainstream lessons as required

Provide accurate, constructive and detailed feedback to teachers and students, as required

Promote positive values, attitudes and good student behaviour

Liaise with parents, as required

Support students to develop competence and independence in the use of ICT in learning activities

Assist with the supervision of students out of lesson times

Supervise internally excluded students

Conduct investigations into breaches of the Radiate Behaviour Policy by students collating statements, making recommendations, as required

Provide first aid and attend appropriate training as necessary
