Job Summary

The Learning Support Assistant plays a vital role in supporting children with diverse learning needs, particularly those with autism and other disabilities. This position involves working closely with teachers and other educational professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to fostering the development of all students.

Duties

Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes for children with special educational needs. Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop essential skills. Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to learning. Implement strategies to support students with autism and other disabilities, promoting their independence and confidence. Supervise and engage children during playtime and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to assessments as required. Support the inclusion of all students in classroom activities, adapting materials as necessary to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

2 years of Experience working as LSA in UAE with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities. Relevant Certifiction Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and effective strategies for supporting individuals on the spectrum. Previous experience in teaching or educational settings is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. A caring attitude towards children, demonstrating patience and empathy in all interactions. Relevant qualifications in special education or child development would be an advantage but are not essential. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children with diverse needs through supportive education practices.
