We are currently looking to employ a 1-2-1 Learning Support Assistant to join Essendene Lodge School. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for education to join our staff. We would like to hear from you if you are an experienced Learning Support Assistant or if you are looking to gain experience in a school before teacher training. This is a Part time role working 12 hours per week over 2 days (specific days TBC)

The successful candidate should be passionate about education, teaching and children's learning. You will be joining a great school and working alongside our very experienced teaching staff.

Essendene Lodge School is an independent Preparatory School and Nursery in the heart of Caterham, Surrey. We cater for boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 11. We have full time onsite nursery for 2-4 year old pupils managed by experienced and qualified staff. The school prides itself on the family friendly ethos and entrance exam success rate at the end of Year 6. Small class sizes ensure that individual attention is given to pupils in every lesson and children experience a varied curriculum such as French, Music, Sports, Drama, computing and experience activities that full of fun and engagement such as Musical Theatre, Drama, debating and many more.

The Schools aim is to ensure that children are happy, successful and motivated learners. Our purpose is to provide educational excellence coupled with high expectation so that all can reach their potential. We pride ourselves on the happy, safe and caring learning atmosphere so that boys and girls can really enjoy school.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate teaching assistant to join our school. The role is a Part time, term time role. It will be for 12 hours per week, you will be working 1-2-1 with our pupils.

We would like to hear from you if you are able to;

Support our pupils both in and out of lessons. Assist our pupils on either a one to one basis or in small groups within the classroom environment. Assist with, plan and preparing for lessons with our teacher in line with the schools curriculum. Maintain standards within lessons and support pupils of all ability. Undertake a shared responsibility for health and safety.
