We are seeking
Bessacarr Primary are seeking to appoint a conscientious, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, with Special
Educational Needs experience. This role involves supporting a pupil with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis to help the child achieve the best learning results and facilitate full inclusion in the school curriculum and activities. The role will also include general TA work within a classroom for part of the day including working with small groups, interventions and other support for the class Teacher.
The successful candidate will need to:
Have experience of working in a Primary School and in particular the Foundation Stage and KS1
Have a good level of general education - English and Maths at GCSE C or above (or equivalent) is essential
Be able to use their initiative to work independently and flexibly
Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, pupils and parents It would be desirable for the candidate to:
Have experience supporting a child with additional needs
Have a background knowledge and experience in the SEN education or Healthcare sector
