We are looking to appoint

Learning Support Assistants

to join our education team, based at Henshaws.

You'll play a key role in supporting our learners by helping to deliver engaging teaching and learning activities, preparing tailored learning materials, and providing personal care where needed -- ensuring every learner can take part fully and confidently in college life.







Key Responsibilities





Actively support learners to access learning in a full range of curriculum activities across the college, ensuring independence is promoted at all times. Support the Tutor in the management and assessment of the curriculum for learners including support to groups and individual students. Prepare the learning areas and equipment as appropriate. To work with learners who have a range of disabilities, who may have physical and sensory needs, as well as behaviours that challenge. To work with a wide range of departments including, care, Integrated Therapy Services and clinical to meet students' individual outcomes outlined in Education Health and Care Plans. To be aware of and support learner differences ensuring that all learners have equal access to opportunities to learn.

Salary:

13.19 per hour/22,859.33 per annum

Hours:

37 Hours (May consider part-time 3 -4 days)

Shift pattern:

Monday to Thursday 08.30 - 16.30pm and Friday 08.30 - 16.00pm

Working Weeks:

40 (Term-time)

Paid holiday:

6.84 weeks (5 Weeks plus 10 day bank holiday pro-rated)

Requirements:

Good standard of Maths and English Teaching Assistant diploma /equivalent or commitment to complete this qualification in agreed timeframe. Willingness to assist students with any personal care requirements as needed. Ability to contribute, follow and evaluate educational programmes set by the instructors. Willingness to support students in a way that promotes their independence and development
