What You'll Do
As a Supply Learning Support Assistant, you'll:
Provide tailored one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, or physical disabilities.
Support teachers in delivering inclusive, differentiated lessons in mainstream or specialist settings.
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Assist with personal care, mobility, or sensory needs where required.
Adapt to different schools and year groups, bringing empathy and enthusiasm.
Who We're Looking For
Experience:
Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or SEND Support Worker, ideally with knowledge of autism, ADHD, or other SEND conditions.
Qualifications:
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, NVQ in Supporting SEN, or equivalent) is highly desirable but not essential.
Skills:
Strong communication, patience, adaptability, and a passion for supporting children with SEND.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and the right to work in the UK. Training in Team Teach, Makaton, or PECS is a bonus.
