About the Role:
Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Halifax. This long-term supply role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across KS1 and KS2, in a setting that prioritises emotional wellbeing, creativity, and academic development. The school fosters a collaborative environment where staff are encouraged to contribute to a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN. Assist in the delivery of differentiated learning activities. Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and sensory needs. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment. Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement EHCP targets.
Pre-requisites:
Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting. Strong understanding and practice of safeguarding procedures. Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply. Two education-based references. Must be within reasonable travel distance of Halifax.
