We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join our welcoming SEND school in Totton. The school supports primary and secondary-aged pupils (ages 5-19) with a range of needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), complex medical and physical needs, and challenging behaviour.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Work closely with teachers to support pupils' learning, communication and independence Help create a positive, nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive Support pupils with
personal care, mobility, and sensory needs
as requiredBe happy to administer medication and support with personal care and manual handling
, once full training has been provided Use creativity and patience to engage learners with varying levels of ability Promote positive behaviour and celebrate every achievementAbout You
We're looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working with SEND pupils or a strong passion to develop in this field Is reliable, patient, and compassionate Can work well as part of a supportive and dynamic team Is confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent way
Is comfortable with tasks involving personal care, medication administration, and manual handling (training provided)
Can commit to the hours 8:30am - 3:30pmWe Offer
