Value Education is working with a Primary School that are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant for the new academic year. We are seeking someone to work in the classroom supporting students with Special Educational Needs with their learning on a 1:1 basis.

For the role, it is required to have SEND experience working with Primary aged students.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:

Provide support for students on a 1:1 basis Maintain positive relationships with pupils and interact according to individual needs Assist with classroom management, resource preparation and displays Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents Encourage pupils to interact with the class and engage in activities
Requirements for the Learning Support Assistant role:

Experience working within education - ESSENTIAL A strong understanding of SEND -ESSENTIAL Strong de-escalation techniques with experience of managing challenging behaviour Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures Willing to support children of all abilities and needs
