Your Impact & Responsibilities:

Mentor & Empower:

Design and deliver bespoke one-to-one mentoring sessions focused on each child's unique emotional and academic needs.

Champion Positive Behaviour:

Implement effective, trauma-informed strategies that build resilience, self-regulation, and positive social skills.

Boost Academic Confidence:

Deliver targeted academic support, especially in Maths, breaking down complex concepts into accessible, engaging steps.

Collaborate & Connect:

Work in close partnership with families, educators, and specialists to create and maintain holistic, consistent support plans.

Track & Celebrate:

Monitor and document student progress, celebrating every milestone and providing meaningful feedback to the child's support network.

What You Bring to the Role:

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven expertise in behaviour management and a deep understanding of SEMH support. Direct experience in special education, early years, or a similar mentoring role. A natural ability to make learning accessible (particularly Maths) by adapting your teaching style. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach, with a proven talent for building rapport and trust with children and their families. A genuine passion for mentoring and empowering young people.

Highly Desirable (What Makes You Stand Out):

Familiarity with speech and language (SLT) support strategies. An understanding of therapeutic practices (e.g., play therapy, mindfulness, trauma-informed care). Formal training or practical experience with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).

What We Offer:

A collaborative and welcoming team committed to making a genuine difference. Access to ongoing professional development and specialist training in SEMH and therapeutic practices.
