Are you the person who stays calm when others walk away? We are looking for a dedicated Learning Mentor to bridge the gap between emotional turmoil and academic potential. You won't just be teaching; you will be rebuilding trust, offering stability, and proving to a young person that they are capable of success.
What You Will Do
Build Trust:
Break down barriers for children wary of adults through patience, play, and empathy.
Unlock Potential:
Use creative, adaptive methods to teach Maths and core skills to children who struggle in mainstream classrooms.
Lead the Way:
Act as the "glue" connecting families, teachers, and therapists to ensure the child is fully supported.
Celebrate Wins:
Whether it's mastering a fraction or managing a difficult emotion, you will champion their progress.
Who You Are
You have experience in SEN/SEMH and understand that "bad behaviour" is often a communication of unmet needs.
You understand early child development (toddler/early years experience is a huge plus) and how missed milestones affect older children.
You are resilient, kind, and hold a full UK Driving Licence.
