Job Summary



Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 3:30pm
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant who is confident working in an Alterative Provision.

The successful candidate will work closely with children, specifically those with special educational needs, to provide tailored support that fosters their academic and social development. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives while developing your skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities



Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning activities for pupils with diverse needs, including children with autism and disabilities. Support children with behavioural, emotional, or learning difficulties to ensure they participate fully in classroom activities. Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to enhance understanding of lessons and promote confidence. Help supervise children during breaks, lunch, and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Support children's social and emotional development through positive interaction and encouragement. Assist with the organisation of classroom resources and materials to facilitate effective learning environments. Maintain clear communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals regarding student progress and needs.

Skills



Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs such as autism or disabilities. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pupils, colleagues, and parents. Compassionate and patient approach when supporting children with behavioural or emotional challenges. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment dedicated to inclusive education. Organised and proactive in managing classroom support tasks efficiently. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children's development in an inclusive educational setting.

Requirements



Must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Must have full UK drivers licence, access to own vehicle with business insurance (or willing to obtain) Must be available for ASAP start Must not have any holidays booked for term time Must be comfortable working in an Alternative Provision setting GCSE's in Maths & English
Any candidate who does not fit the above criteria will not be considered for this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to 110.95 per day
