The Role

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team within the College&s Skills Development department.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people to remove barriers to learning and help them reach their full potential. Confidence with functional Maths and English as well as experience with differentiated communication will be useful in this role. The ability to motivate learners and manage behavior while maintaining a professional relationship is key in this role.

Responsibilities include supporting classroom delivery of a range of theory and practical topics. Monitoring of students over break times, behavior management, supporting the recording and tracking of progress, sharing information with tutors, students and parents.

Managing time and resources to help learners engage and achieve, This could include PPE, maintaining learning environments, creating resources and using IT systems to monitor and track progress.
