Job Description

This is a rewarding role where you'll work closely with students with a range of learning needs, helping them build confidence, independence, and the skills they need to succeed in their studies. You'll play a key part in making learning accessible, enjoyable, and supporting students in the classroom.


What you'll do:




Support identified students in lessons, helping them understand tasks, stay engaged, and participate fully Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs Encourage positive behaviour, attendance and organisation to help students get the most from their studies Support learners with literacy, numeracy, communication and study skills Use strategies and assistive technologies to improve access to learning Communicate effectively with students and staff, sharing feedback and contributing to reviews Maintain accurate notes and support records in line with college procedures Work collaboratively with teachers, LSAs and specialist staff to ensure consistent, high-quality support

What we're looking for:




A genuine interest in supporting young people with diverse learning needs GCSE (or equivalent) English, Maths and IT at Level 2 -- or willingness to achieve these Good communication skills and a calm, patient approach Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team strong organisational skills and a flexible, positive attitude An understanding of (or interest in) learning differences, disabilities or sensory needs Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and promoting student wellbeing
