This position is

The successful

Learning Support Assistant

will have previous experience supporting students with

SEN

- ideally within a school setting - or direct experience as an Autism support worker, or personal experience supporting individuals with

Autism (ASD)

.

You'll be joining a supportive team in

Learning Support Assistant

roles, HLTA positions, or teacher training pathways.

Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one (we'll support you through the process). Experience with PECS or Makaton would be highly beneficial.

Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:



Providing dedicated

1-1

support for students with

Autism (ASD)

, both verbal and non-verbal Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning and behaviour support plans Supporting pupils' communication and social interaction, using tools such as PECS or Makaton where appropriate Promoting inclusion within the

Specialist Primary School

setting Encouraging independence, confidence, and emotional regulation Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to the class teacher and SENCO Assisting with personal care or sensory needs when required Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff Helping create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment Contributing to termly reviews and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
