Job Description

The Youth Education Service work in partnership with an SEN school in Wirral who are looking to recruit x 2 Learning Support Assistants. As The School continues to grow we are adding to a team which has high expectations and sets high standards for both pupils and colleagues.

Your knowledge, skills and experience are important, but so will be your emotional intelligence and resilience. You will be empathetic and compassionate but have the ability to set clear boundaries and expectations.

The role



To work under the instruction/ guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work /care/support programmes. You will predominantly be 1:1 with a Year 9 pupil working as an Teaching Assistant. There may be occasions where the role involves working with small groups inside and outside the classroom.

You must have:



You will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children, particularly those with social, emotional and / or mental health issues.

A background in education is not a necessity but you may have experience working with children, ideally those with challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, Asperger's, mental health issues and / or social and emotional issues.

You will have knowledge of safeguarding young people and a willingness to undertake additional and on-going training and personal development.

You will be an excellent team player with a positive and resilient nature who likes to see and get the best out of young people.

Hours: 08:30 - 16:00



Pay: 109.83 per day



Start Date: ASAP
