Learning Support Assistants (Fixed term until 31 July 2024)

\xc2\xa310.66 per hour (FTE \xc2\xa320,016) \xe2\x80\x93 variable hours as and when required

We are seeking to add to our current team of dedicated Learning Support Assistants. This role involves working with students with disabilities; learning difficulties; and health conditions, helping them to achieve their learning goals. A Learning Support Assistant provides support to assigned students using a range of learning support strategies.

You will be educated to at least GCSE English and Maths (Grades C/4 or above) or equivalent and have the experience and ability to work in a supportive role with adults in an educational environment. The College is keen to promote and enable the use of assistive technology to facilitate learning therefore you will need to be an experienced and confident user of IT. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to providing an outstanding student experience along with the ability to use tact and initiative. We are looking for individuals who are flexible, as hours of work are varied, predominantly during the day but there may be some evening or weekend working.
