Role Overview:




The Lifelong Learning service delivers Adult learning opportunities to over 2,500 learners. An opportunity has arisen to manage and coordinate the Learning Support Team in providing high quality and effective support to learners experiencing barriers in participating in education.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead, coordinate and supervise a team of staff and volunteers to deliver highly effective support to learners. Individual learner assessments and quality assurance processes within Learning Support, including observation of practice and supported learner assessments for exam access arrangements. To be a Lead Officer for Safeguarding vulnerable adults and contribute to the wider Council's relevant strategic Safeguarding groups To be responsible for planning and reviewing the development plan of the team in line with overall service planning and departmental and corporate objectives. To be compliant with all funding and regulatory bodies requirements

Key Requirements:



Relevant LDD qualification at minimum level 3, and a management qualification. Excellent organisational, ICT and budget management skills Communication and interpersonal skills to lead, motivate, develop and organise staff.
