The Role



To support the Faculty in operating systems alongside the Senior Learning Support Officer for the delivery and monitoring of initial learner assessment and screening and ensuring effective communications are established and maintained with staff in central services and curriculum teams.

To support the Faculty in ensuring that the College systems are in place to meet all its statutory responsibilities in relation to Disability Disclosure.

To support the Faculty in ensuring that learners are aware of their entitlement to examination concessions and that there is effective communication with the Exams Office and officers.

To keep detailed records of all identified students with learning support needs and the delivery/communication of appropriate support as directed by the Learning Support Manager.

To provide administrative support to the Faculty in the production and presentation of regular reports on all aspects of Learning Support including volume and nature of delivery, milestones and outcomes.

To monitor and collate statistical information about all aspects of service activity to enable the Faculty to evaluate its effectiveness.

To answer and address appropriately any queries from outside professionals, staff, parents/carers and students in a timely efficient manner.

To manage and deliver data reports and monitoring.

To work with staff in the Faculty to gather all necessary information on additional Learning Support delivery in order to inform the Faculty and enable her/him to ensure the effective claiming of funding.

To undertake such other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as may reasonably be required which may include overseeing medication administering and personal care duties if required.
