Job Purpose:





As a Learning Systems Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Learning Systems Manager in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our online learning environment. You will assist in preparing course materials, designing and uploading content to the Canvas LMS, and ensuring the smooth operation of our digital learning systems. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and accessibility of our students' learning experience.




Key Responsibilities:




Support the Learning Systems Manager in the implementation and optimisation of Canvas LMS features and workflows. Format Microsoft Office instructional files according to house style. Build and maintain courses using Canvas LMS, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in designing engaging online course content and creating sample courses. Manage course shells and ensure all resources are properly set up and accessible. Troubleshoot issues on Canvas courses and escalate complex problems to the Learning Systems Manager. Liaise closely with the Supervisor of Courses and other colleagues to ensure alignment with academic goals. Organise Canvas content into a user-friendly format to enhance student navigation. Produce regular updates to Canvas guides and documentation. Provide Canvas Help Ticket support to Wolsey Hall staff and students, escalating where necessary. Develop and maintain documentation of administrative best practices and current processes. Maintain an FAQ wiki for SPMs and Tutors to support out-of-hours problem-solving. Act as a key support contact for the Learning Systems Manager, including covering responsibilities during annual or sick leave. Perform other tasks as agreed with your Manager, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
