Salary/Benefits:

Salary is between 31,930 and 36,878 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

- Salary and Annual Leave entitlement is for that of a Qualified Lecturer.

About the role:





We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Beauty to join our Hair and Beauty department at The Bedford College Group

.





As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:


Teaching & Assessment

- Deliver and assess engaging lessons across Level 1-3 Beauty Therapy courses, including massage and nail technology, tailored to individual student needs and awarding body standards.

Student Support & Experience

- Guide students to achieve their full potential, ensuring a high-quality, inclusive learning environment that keeps the student experience at the heart of all activities.

Curriculum Development & Innovation

- Prepare and review schemes of work, contribute to curriculum development, and support promotional events such as open days and careers conventions.

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

- Work effectively with colleagues to share expertise, implement quality processes, and maintain stimulating, safe learning environments that reflect diversity and best practice.

Statutory Responsibilities

- Uphold safeguarding, equality, health & safety, and participate in ongoing training and development in line with The Bedford College Group's policies and values.

About you:




Qualifications & Industry Experience

- Holds a relevant qualification at least one level above the course being taught, with recent experience in the beauty industry including massage and nail technology.

Teaching & Professional Skills

- Demonstrates excellent classroom management, communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills, with strong numeracy and IT proficiency (Microsoft Office).

Adaptability & Teamwork

- Able to work independently and collaboratively, manage workload under pressure, meet deadlines, and build professional relationships with students and colleagues.

Values & Conduct

- Maintains confidentiality, attention to detail, and professional standards in line with The Bedford College Group's values, including safeguarding, EDI, and health & safety.

Flexibility & Commitment

- Willing to travel across campuses, adapt working hours to meet business needs, and uphold appropriate boundaries with learners while continuously developing professionally.
