We're seeking a dedicated and experienced
Study Programme Lead/Lecturer in Carpentry
to take ownership of our carpentry programmes. This role involves leading the planning, delivery, assessment, and quality assurance of the curriculum, while supporting students throughout their academic journey.
You'll be responsible for coordinating course content, managing student progress, and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. You'll also play a key role in student induction, tutorials, performance reviews, and work experience coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage carpentry course planning, delivery, and assessment.
Monitor and support student progress across full study programmes.
Conduct tutorials, academic reviews, and performance management meetings.
Coordinate internal verification and ensure assignment quality.
Maintain accurate course data and student records.
Support work experience and industry placements.
Contribute to enrolment, induction, and advisory boards.
Essential Requirements:
Teaching qualification (or willingness to gain one).
Experience teaching carpentry or related subjects.
Strong organisational, administrative, and pastoral skills.
Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to learner success.
Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy (or willingness to gain).
Desirable:
BTEC Lead Internal Verifier experience.
Post-16 teaching experience.
Level 2 IT qualification (or willingness to gain).
Experience working with employers and industry partners.
