Job Description
To deliver high-quality teaching across Access to HE and Level 2 programmes in Chemistry and Biology. The role involves lesson planning, delivery, assessment, and supporting students to achieve their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons using varied teaching methods and digital tools. Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress, setting SMART targets. Monitor attendance, performance, and provide academic/pastoral support. Contribute to curriculum development and departmental quality standards. Liaise with awarding bodies and HEIs to ensure programme standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science discipline. Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one). Experience teaching Access to HE or FE Science programmes. Strong communication, organisational, and digital teaching skills.
