Salary from 31,930 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications, Teacher's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

About the role:





We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Early Years to join our Care, Childcare and Counselling department at The Bedford College Group

.





As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:


Teaching & Learning Delivery

- Plan, deliver, assess, and verify a range of science-related courses, ensuring engaging, inclusive, and high-quality learning experiences tailored to individual student needs.

Student Support & Progress Monitoring

- Guide and support students to achieve their potential, track progress, maintain records, and intervene where necessary to help them meet academic standards and deadlines

Curriculum & Quality

Development

- Contribute to curriculum innovation, develop new learning materials, participate in internal quality assurance, and support continuous improvement through self-assessment and feedback.

Professional Engagement & Promotion

- Take part in marketing activities, open days, and student interviews; maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and contribute to the college's reputation and growth.

Compliance & Safeguarding Responsibilities

- Uphold statutory duties in safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health and safety, while maintaining professional conduct and supporting a safe, respectful learning environment.

About you:




Qualifications & Professional

Background

- Degree in Early Years or related discipline, GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C), and either a Certificate in Education or willingness to obtain one. Practical experience in Early Years settings is essential.

Knowledge & Experience

- Strong understanding of current developments in Early Years education, with a proven track record of high performance and working effectively with diverse groups while promoting equality and diversity.

Skills & Values Alignment

- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively. Must embody the College's values: Student Centred, Educational Excellence, Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, Caring, and Inclusive.

Communication & Student Support

Tresham College has three main sites in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough, each with impressive modern buildings.
