HMP Maidstone have an exciting opportunity for a maths Lecturer to join the prison-based Education Team.
We are looking for a passionate and creative Maths Lecturer to deliver engaging and meaningful lessons to learners within a prison education setting. This role is about more than teaching maths, it's about inspiring confidence, building skills, and helping learners see the value of education in transforming their futures.
You will plan and deliver lessons that cater to a range of abilities using practical and real-life applications to make maths relevant and accessible. By embedding functional skills and problem-solving into your teaching, you will support learners in gaining recognised qualifications and developing employability skills they can use upon release. Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment is key, as is providing constructive feedback and guidance to help learners progress.
