About the role:




As a result of our success in capturing external research grants the University of Lancashire seeks a lecturer in archaeology and forensic anthropology on a fixed term 0.7 contract for immediate start. We will want you to contribute to academic development, course management, teaching, and scholarship within the centre for Field Archaeology and Forensic Taphonomy which is part of the School of Law and Policing. The candidate will be an independent researcher, with experience of working at as a post-doctoral researcher. The candidate will have experience working with human remains a laboratory and a field work setting as well as preparing reports for publications. Candidates will be expected to contribute to modules including but not limited to Research Methods Forensic Investigators, Forensic Anthropology, 'Introduction to Archaeology', 'British Archaeology' and to contribute to student field work placement activity. The candidate will help support the team to move to block teaching and contribute the universities research and KE activity.

About you:




The successful applicant must have an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject together with a relevant postgraduate qualification They will have excellent presentation and communication skills and a flexible and innovative approach to teaching. Experience of developing teaching and learning resources would be an advantage, as would experience of working in an academic environment. Candidates will have a track record of post-doctoral research, field work experience and be able to contribute ot ongoing research projects, they will have a track record of publication in academic journals and/or books.
