About the role:




The Visual Arts, Media & Film Department is a thriving and successful department that is continuously growing and so are the opportunities for new colleagues to join us. Our creative provision spans in both our Sixth Form and Highbury campuses. At Sixth Form, we teach a range of courses like Fine Art, Graphics, Photography, Digital Film Architecture, Film Studies and Media Studies, in addition to a single UAL Art & Design course. At our Highbury Campus we teach the triple UAL Level 3 and Level 2 Art & Design courses. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Art to deliver Art & Design courses. You will be supported to work across all sites and supported by our large creative team. The team is extremely collaborative, sharing resources and good practice with a strong emphasis on progress, freedom of creativity and high expectations of learners. Our sites are well-resourced and CPD is available to staff to upskill technical and teaching skills.


Key Responsibilities:




To teach on a range of programmes, providing high-quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College's strategic priorities and objectives. To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement, and success. To contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, relevant curriculum and programmes. Curriculum Development responsibilities include: + Actively contributing to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area
+ Producing annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:




Degree or equivalent qualification in Art & Design Teaching Qualification or willing to work towards Ability to meet targets within set timescales Ability to work well in a team, but also to work independently Passion for the arts and for teaching
