Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in educating students in the field of Information Technology (IT). This position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate leadership qualities, fostering an engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and success.

Duties

Deliver high-quality lectures and seminars in IT, ensuring content is relevant and up-to-date. Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments. Assess student performance through examinations, coursework, and feedback. Provide academic support and guidance to students, helping them achieve their educational goals. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and improve teaching methodologies. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in the IT field. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the overall academic community. You must be available for 20hrs/week during Tuesday-Friday

Qualifications

A degree in Information Technology or a related field is essential. Previous teaching experience at a higher education level is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and motivating students. A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse student needs.
