The School of Communication and Media is a multi-campus, multi-discipline school delivering a wide range of highly successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes from Communication degrees such as Communication, Advertising and Marketing and Communication Management and Public Relations to Media Production degrees such as Journalism or Film and TV Production. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Communication to teach into our suite of Communication programmes. The Communication programmes at Ulster integrate pure and applied approaches to address questions such as how individuals communicate in different settings and how organisations in the private, public and third sector engage and communicate with stakeholders. The success of our programmes lies in the multi-disciplinary nature of our curriculum, which is firmly grounded in a social science perspective on Communication, combined with a shared emphasis on integration of theory and practice, led by academics with strong industry connections. The postholder will be expected to contribute flexibly across our Communication programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and to deliver excellent research and impact of a standard returnable to the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
