The Dundee International Institute of Central South University is an exciting new partnership between the University of Dundee and Central South University in China, which recruited its first intake of students in the academic year 2022/23.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team as a Lecturer in Computing Science in the Institute, responsible for contributing primarily to the delivery and development of the teaching for the Computing Science programme in Changsha, China. This is a teaching focused role which will allow the role holder to grow their teaching experience and start a scholarship portfolio.

As this role is based in China, the role holder must hold the right to work in China or be eligible to obtain this. Support with making an application for a Chinese work visa will be provided, if necessary.
Your priorities will include:
To spend both semesters each academic year at CSU to deliver teaching in the programmes and develop teaching and scholarship collaborations with colleagues at CSU.
To deliver high-quality and innovative teaching across a range of modules, providing curriculum leadership within own area of expertise and generalist support in the early years of study,
To be responsible for the design and quality of course modules in specialist areas. Where appropriate, to identify the need for developing the content or structure of existing modules and make proposals on how this should be achieved.
Who we're looking for:
PhD in a relevant subject
Clear evidence of learning and teaching competence, including at least two years of teaching experience at university level (essential to meet visa requirements)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Evidence of ability and willingness to work collaboratively with others
Evidence of effective team membership
Ability to teach across a range of subjects
