Salary: 27,486 - 41,467 pro rata per annum (Actual 16,491 - 24,880)


Contract Type: Permanent


Hours: 22.2hrs per week


Location: Ellesmere Port Campus


We are looking for an inspirational Lecturer to take on an exciting new role within our Construction department.


This role will be to start in September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and teach on a range of Electrical Installation courses, including T Level BSE (Building Services Engineering)or equivalent; Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment; and*
Keep accurate records for learners' progress in College.

Key Person Specification Requirements:



Level 3 or above (or equivalent)in Electrical Installation/Electrical Engineering and/or a Minimum of 5 years Industry experience with a Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation; GCSE Grade C (4/5)in English and Maths; PGCE or commitment to work towards; Proven experience of electronic and electrical systems including industrial, power and electronics, fault finding procedures and control systems; Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment; Up-to-date occupational experience; and*
Enhanced DBS check.

We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. Anyone joining the College will be part of a Lecturer Development Programme which provides staff with a range of support and training based on previous experience and individual need. The programme will offer a range of support and development opportunities, including inductions related to all College systems and processes, an assigned curriculum mentor and regular 1-2-1 support from the Quality team. Industry experts who do not currently hold a teaching qualification will be supported through our 'Introduction to Teaching at Cheshire College South & West 12-week programme.
