About the role:
As the
Lecturer in Foundation
(Health & Social Care and Foundation)
, you will continually improve the learning experience and achievement of students through effective teaching.
Responsibilities as our
Lecturer in Foundation
will include:
Teaching on courses as agreed with the Curriculum Lead.
Taking on the responsibilities of a Foundation Personal tutor, when required.
Coordinating work skills provision, including arranging and managing student placements.
Coordinating and delivering a range of courses including L1 health and social care
Preparing and marking student work, monitor progress towards individual targets, keep records and provide timely reports/reviews/EHCP feedback to students, parents, employers and College managers, as appropriate.
Working closely with other colleagues to respond to the needs of students.
Contributing to the design, delivery and future planning and development of the curriculum.
As our
Lecturer in Foundation

, you'll
ideally have:
Degree or equivalent professional qualification in relevant subject area.
Appropriate teacher training qualification
Experience of high quality teaching to both 16-25 year olds and adult students with SEND.
Experience of delivery of effective pastoral support and the development of Individual learning plans.
Knowledge and understanding of current developments in SEND.
Creative, supportive and positive approach to teaching, learning and assessment.
The ability to motivate and support students effectively to ensure their success.
