About The Role and Person

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Functional Skills (Maths/English).



The role involves supporting apprentices studying for their Maths and English functional skills qualifications. This will involve preparing and delivering stimulating lessons, setting goals that stretch and challenge all students, monitoring and assessing student progress, giving feedback and ensuring that apprentices are ready to take their functional skills assessments.




The ideal candidate will hold a relevant teaching qualification and have experience of teaching functional skills Maths and/or English. They will be enthusiastic, adaptable and have a drive to provide excellent teaching. They will have experience working with learners of all abilities and excellent communication skills. As many lessons are delivered remotely, experience providing effective online learning is essential. Note this role will involve some face to face delivery at our Enfield, Regents Park and Gunnersbury Park campuses.
