Job Purpose:



The post holder will deliver teaching and support learning in Modern Irish Language within diploma and BA part-time programmes. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating and teaching on existing modules; supporting students' independent learning through effective use of the BlackBoard Ultra virtual learning environment; student assessment, and project supervision. They will work closely with the rest of the teaching team in developing collaborative projects with students, industry partners and colleagues from other disciplines across the school and the faculty.

While the emphasis of the post is on contributing to the delivery of taught provision and support for the student experience, the successful postholder will be able to access research support through the Unit of Assessment for Modern Languages and Linguistics, ranked joint first in the UK for world-leading and internationally excellent research impact, underpinned by a research environment achieving 85% and an overall profile scoring 79% for 4/3 research in REF2021.
