Lecturer in Landscape Architecture & Urbanism

Salary: 38,784 to 44,746 plus 4228 London weighting per annum
Part Time Hours: 0.5FTE
Contract Type: Permanent - Fixed Term until December 31st 2025

We seek to appoint a Lecturer to conduct high quality teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the area of Landscape Architecture and Urbanism and contribute to the development and management of our specialist Landscape Architecture roof spaces. The role will focus on delivering a high-quality educational experience, engaging with a variety of formats in a collaborative environment, to deliver and innovate research-informed curricula. The person appointed will be expected to:

  • Contribute to the delivery of teaching on our Landscape Architecture and Urbanism programmes, making full use of information technology but also applying theory to practice through structured lectures and seminars, project orientated work and case studies; site visits and other non-classroom based activities.
  • Contribute more widely to the design and delivery of teaching activities across the school, including research-informed curriculum development, and recruitment activities, reflecting the successful candidate's own subject specialism, appropriate for the needs of a diverse student body; across the range of courses offered by the department.
  • Contribute to the development and management of our specialist Landscape Architecture roof spaces.
The School of Design and Creative Industries brings together the disciplines of Animation, Drama, Music and Sound, Film Studies and Film and TV Production, Media, Graphic Design, Architecture, and Landscape Architecture and Urbanism across Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, in response to the increasing demand for creative thinkers, cross-disciplinary collaboration, global stories and new skills for creating and performing with new technologies in the ever-growing and rapidly changing creative industries.
