About the Post
We seek to appoint a well-qualified and student-centred lecturer to contribute to the teaching and development of our undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. We invite applications from candidates with expertise in Criminal Law (to teach Undergraduate Criminal Law, Criminal Evidence, and Criminal Procedure, and to contribute to Postgraduate teaching on our LLM in Criminal Law and Justice). The successful applicant will also supervise a small number of dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The post offers the opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team in the iconic Waterfront building overlooking the marina at Ipswich's Neptune Quay.
At the University of Suffolk, law is delivered through a 'block' or 'intensive' format, where students focus on one module at a time over a period of four or six weeks. We also are a technology-rich course, using innovative hybrid learning and teaching and ethical use of AI.
