Lecturer in Nutrition
Duration: Fixed term until 31/07/2027
Hours: 28.8 (0.8FTE)
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic team and contribute to teaching on the undergraduate and postgraduate Nutrition programmes. They will use innovative and engaging teaching to support and develop the Nutrition curriculum. Candidates will be able to demonstrate an ability to contribute to the teaching of modules across MSc/ BSc Nutrition, MSc/BSc Applied Sports Nutrition/Foundation programmes. Particularly teaching of nutritional biochemistry and nutrition and genetics. They will also undertake administrative duties, act as a personal tutor and supervise student research projects.
A relevant first degree and Masters-level qualification are essential. The applicant must be a registered Nutritionist (AfN) or dietitian (HCPC), or able and willing to become registered with the AfN. It is desirable that applicants have a PhD, are working towards a PhD or have significant experience. In addition, applicants will possess the willingness and ability to undertake research and/or knowledge transfer activity, and will be a team player.
