The role

The School of Psychological Science seeks to appoint a fixed-term academic on a 2-year contract. The successful candidate will join a growing team of academics, with a particular focus on delivering core undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supporting students through personal tutoring, and project supervision. Applicants with a teaching/research background in human neuroscience (cognitive or social) research are particularly encouraged to apply.


What will you be doing?

You will contribute to the planning, delivering, and supporting of teaching delivered to students on our programmes. The main purpose will be to provide the highest quality support for students and staff through teaching, tutorial support, administrative support, marking, and taking on special administrative projects to enhance our curriculum and student experience. The post will involve teaching and administration on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

We are keen to invite individuals to apply with experience of successfully supporting a diverse range of students and is keen to participate in pedagogical research. You must have experience teaching and supporting students in an academic setting. You have the ability and enthusiasm to engage effectively with professional and academic staff and work independently to organise your own schedule. You can demonstrate knowledge of culturally inclusive teaching practice, have experience teaching cognitive or social neuroscience, or a related discipline.
